You can set up viewing availability from your dashboard. Viewing availability is set at an individual property level. You don't have to create a listing first before setting up viewing availability for a property. If you wish, you can add viewing availability first, and then continue to add and publish a listing.
There are two main features for setting your viewing availability:
- Weekly schedule - for each day of the week, you can select the days and times at which properties can be viewed.
- Daily overrides - for specific dates, you can select different available time slots to the usual weekly schedule, or mark the property as unavailable on any given day. An override function replaces the weekly pattern for a whole day.
When applicants request a viewing, they'll be shown the available viewing slots you've set from your dashboard. Viewing slots are currently every 15 minutes.
Follow the steps below to set a weekly schedule.
- Click on the Find tab on your dashboard and select Viewing Availability from the submenu
- Click the address of the property you have listed
- Click Weekly schedule
- Click Edit on the right-hand side of the property address
- For the chosen day of the week, click the + icon
- Choose your selected start and end time. You can add more than one time slot to each day
- Click Save to save your changes
Follow the steps below to set a daily override.
- Click on the Find tab on your dashboard and select Viewing Availability from the submenu
- Click the address of the property you have listed
- Click Daily overrides
- Click Edit in the top right-hand corner of the page
- Click Add daily override row
- Select the date, availability, and start and end times for the daily override
- Click Save to save your changes
There are some additional settings that you can control at an individual property level.
Click Pause viewings to pause viewings without deleting your availability schedule. This is perfect for when you think you've got enough viewings. You can resume viewing availability by clicking Unpause viewings.
There is a default 48-hour notice period from when an individual can book a viewing. This prevents them from booking a viewing at unfeasibly short notice. If you'd like to change the notice period, go to Settings and click Viewing notice (in hours).
You can set up a viewing availability schedule in advance, but specify that viewings should only start from a specific date in the future. Go to Settings and click Viewings available from to select a date.
Please note, these settings will apply even if a daily override is in place. An applicant will still need to book with 48 hours' notice (or with however many hours' notice you've manually selected) for a date that has been made available through an override.
