Residents can make payments in the Residently app for rent and other charges. Please note that that this feature is for future and ongoing rent payments, not for making the upfront payment.
Residents can make both full and partial payments, which can makes it easy to pay if they are sharers or if they are paying for clearing arrears in instalments.
How does it work?
-
We pull a list of due charges from MRI Qube and update Qube when a payment is made
-
The card payments are taken via Stripe and sent to your Stripe account
-
Stripe pays out the funds into your bank account daily. We send a reconciliation report showing which payments have been made in each day’s payout
How do residents make a payment?
- When residents select a charge to pay, there is an extra step for them to confirm or change the amount they want to pay. Once they’ve confirmed the amount, they can pay by card. Residents are not able to pay more than the amount due
What happens after payment?
- Once a partial payment is taken, Residently updates Qube in the same way it does for full payments
- The resident will see the outstanding amount left for the charge in their 'Upcoming' transactions. They can also see how much has already been paid towards it
- Once the charge has been paid off in full, it will move to the 'Paid' tab on the resident's app dashboard
- The Stripe payout process is the same for partial payments. These are transferred to you in the daily payout and are reflected in the reconciliation report
Please note that for sharers, MRI Qube charges are attributed to the Stay, rather than individual residents. Every resident on the Stay can see the charges and either partly pay or fully pay them.
