If the 'individual paperwork' option for applicants has been enabled on your portfolio, the lead resident is able to choose who will be responsible for uploading details and documents for referencing after the offer has been approved.
If the option has not been enabled on your portfolio, the lead resident will always be responsible for uploading the details and documents for everyone on the application by default.
With the 'individual paperwork' option enabled, the lead resident can select one of two options in the offer form, either:
- I'll upload everyone's details and documents - (The lead resident will need to collect, upload, and submit everyone's details and documents for referencing), or
- I want each person to provide their own - (Everyone on the application will need to upload their own details and documents for referencing. The lead resident is responsible for submitting the application as a whole).
The lead resident must select an option and click Next to proceed.
The lead resident will then be prompted to review their choice before submitting the offer form. Once the lead resident choses an option and submits the offer form, they won't be able to change the option later.
Once you've reviewed and approved the offer, everyone's details and documents can be uploaded to the application for referencing.
If the lead resident is uploading details and documents on behalf of all residents and guarantors, they'll receive an email invitation with a link to upload everyone's information for referencing. The other applicants will each receive an email invitation too, which they'll need to accept before the lead resident can start uploading their details. All residents and guarantors will need to share their details and documents with the lead resident so that they can be uploaded to the application.
If the 'individual paperwork' option was selected by the lead resident, everyone on the application will receive a unique email invitation with a link to upload their own details and documents for referencing. Everyone's details are kept secure as the information is uploaded straight to the application. The lead resident can track in real time which sections everyone has completed, but they cannot view or edit anyone's personal details or documents.
The lead resident will be asked to specify the share of rent for each resident on the application. They can enter the individual amount for each resident, or click Split equally to share the rent equally.
The lead resident is always responsible for submitting the application as a whole, even if they selected the option for everyone to upload their own details and documents for referencing in the offer form. They can only submit the application for referencing once everyone has completed their part of the application and uploaded all their details. The lead resident will see the message All sections are complete, you can now submit your details when the application is ready for submission. Once the application has been submitted, it cannot be reopened to amend any details. The lead residents must click Submit to submit the application for referencing.
Once paperwork has been submitted by the lead resident, everyone on the application will receive a confirmation email and the information will be sent automatically to Let Alliance for referencing.
