Applicants must share all right to rent and identity documents with Let Alliance via the app after they've submitted details and documents for referencing. They should go to Support > Create new message > Referencing > Right to rent or identity. Please review the information below, which is also available to applicants from the Resident Help Centre.
All UK nationals should submit a photo of their UK passport, ensuring that the photo is taken in good lighting and no fingers are covering the edges of the passport.
- UK passport
If you do not have a passport, or if your passport has expired, you should try to submit both a UK driving licence and a UK birth certificate as secondary options.
- UK driving licence (full or provisional)
- UK birth certificate
If you don't have a passport, driving licence or birth certificate, you should submit at least one of the following:
- Benefit letter dated within the last 3 months
- Letter of certification
- Marriage certificate
- Change of name document
International applicants should submit a photo of their passport, ensuring that the photo is taken in good lighting and no fingers are covering the edges of the passport.

You should also submit either:
- Right to rent share code (acquired after Visa obtained). Click here to find out more.
- Unique Application Number (acquired when applying for a Visa). The UAN is a 16-digit number, in the format '1234-1234-1234-1234'. It's in the email confirming an applicant's settled or pre-settled status. Click here to find out more.
European nationals should submit their flight ticket or boarding pass to support their application.
