If you need to skip the referencing stage on the dashboard (if for example, you are processing a company let), you should add the stay as an in situ instead of progressing a standard application. Adding the stay in situ allows you to skip referencing and generate a contract straightaway. Follow the steps below to add an in situ stay.
- Go to the Properties tab on your dashboard and select a property
- Click Add a stay
- Click Add in situ stay, then click Next
- Populate the form with details for dates, notice periods, monthly charges, upfront charges, additional charges for utilities (if applicable) and deposits
- Click Add in situ stay to add the stay
Next, you will need to add people to the stay. Follow the steps below to add people to the in situ stay.
- Go to the Stays tab and select the in situ stay, filtering by property
- Click View stay details
- Go to the People tab and click Add a person
- Select Resident, Guarantor, or Legal occupier from the drop-down menu, then fill in their details. When adding a guarantor, you'll need to select which of the residents the guarantor is for
- Click Add... to add them to the stay
Please do not click Send invitation or Create reference as this will send a user an email invitation to upload details and documents for referencing.
Once you've added people to the in situ stay, you can generate and issue a contract from the Contracts tab. You can upload a contract signed externally by following the instructions in this article. For more information about contracts, please read this article for guidance.
Please note that the upfront payment request will need to be sent off-product as we don't currently have the capability to send upfront payment requests outside of our standard application process.
