You can check to see whether the holding deposit has been taken from the dashboard. Follow the steps below to check if the holding deposit has been taken.
- Go to the Applications tab and select a Stay
- Click on the Offers tab and locate the fourth task card
-
The task card will be highlighted grey, green or red
- Grey = not paid yet
- Green = paid
- Red = failed
If the task card for collecting the holding deposit is not showing, this means that the holding deposit is not collected by Residently.
Please continue reading the information below to find out what each task card status means.
If the task card is grey, the holding deposit has not been paid yet. Holding deposits are only collected once an offer is approved.
If the task card is green, the holding deposit has been collected. Click 'View payment status' to check the amount paid and when the payment was taken.
If the task card is red, the payment has failed. In this case, click 'View payment status' and you'll be given the option to either decline the offer or send a new payment link. Click 'Send payment link' to send an email to the applicant requesting payment of the holding deposit. Please read this article for further details on how to do this.
If the fourth task card is absent from the offer tab, this means that you or your agent would have selected the option to take the holding deposit off-product.
