You won’t be able to create or generate a contract from your dashboard if the EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) and other compliance documents have not been uploaded. You must upload the compliance documents first before you can set up and issue a contract. It is a legal requirement to have a valid EPC, EICR and GSC.
Once the certificates have been uploaded to the dashboard, you'll be able to send a notification to residents when it has been uploaded. This will send them an email with the certificates attached. Follow the steps below to upload compliance certificates to your dashboard.
- Go to the Applications page and select a stay
- Select the Certificates tab on the task tracker
- Click Upload on the task card for the certificate you will be uploading
- You'll be prompted to submit an expiry date for that certificate, so select a date from the calendar
- Before you upload the certificate, you have the option to tick Send certificates to residents. If ticked, this will send an email to all residents on the tenancy with the document attached
Once you've uploaded the certificates, you'll be able to set up and issue a contract.
