When a new resident is added part-way through a tenancy, they are referred to as a mid-term resident. Once a mid-term resident has been added to a stay, you'll then be able to create a reference request for them if required. First, you'll need to add a resident to the tenancy, then submit a referencing request. Follow the steps below to get started.
- Go to the Stays tab and select a stay
- Click on the People tab, then click Add a person. You can add a resident, guarantor or legal occupier. Once you've selected a user type, you can fill in the details
- To create a reference request later on, you need to select that the resident has joined From another date. The start date will need to be in the future but within the tenancy term
- Click Add at the bottom of the page
The person will be added to the People page.
Next, you'll need to create a reference request (if applicable).
- Once the resident has been created, you'll be left on the resident page
- You can navigate back to this page by clicking on View next to the relevant person - Click Create reference
- Select the term the resident is joining, then click Create reference request
- Once you've created the request, click Send invitation
The new resident will be sent an invitation to upload their details and documents for referencing. Let Alliance will initiate the referencing process after the resident submits their paperwork. Once their referencing is complete, you'll be able to review their reports from the referencing request card in the References tab.
