Follow the steps below to process a renewal from your dashboard. First, you'll need to add a new term to an existing stay. Once you've done this, you'll need to edit the people on the new term. Finally, you'll need to issue a renewal contract.
- Go to the Stays tab and select a stay
- Click on the Terms tab
- On the 'Current' active term click Edit on the right, add an end date and click Save changes. This is important because when you add a new term, the dashboard will automatically set the new term's start date to the day after the previous term ended
- Once you've done this, click Add a term and fill in the required information for the new renewal term
- Set Holding deposit to £0. This amount isn't necessary for a renewal and won't be shown in the contract - Click Add term at the bottom of the page to save the new term
If anyone on the existing tenancy is not joining the new term, or if someone new is joining the renewal term, you'll need to amend the people from the People tab prior to generating the contract. Follow the guidance in this article for how to add or remove people from a tenancy.
- Go to the Stays tab and select the stay, then click the Contracts tab to set up the renewal contract
- Click Create new contract, then select the relevant term and template along with any optional sections, then click Next
- Click Generate contract, check the details are correct, then click Confirm and generate
- Once you're happy all details are correct, click Preview and Issue to send out the contract for signing
