Once a contract is fully signed, a memorandum of change document should be issued and signed to make any amendments to it. You can issue a memorandum from your dashboard.
Please note, this process only issues the memorandum to residents on the dashboard for signing, which means tenant swaps in the case where an outgoing tenant needs to sign the memorandum is not supported using this process.
Follow the steps below to generate and issue a memorandum from your dashboard.
- Select a stay and go to the Contracts tab
- Click Create a new contract
- Select the 'Memorandum' template from the drop-down menu and choose the relevant deposit scheme
- In the 'Add additional clauses' box, type in the contract amendment required. If bullet points are needed, use the '-' symbol for each point
- In the 'Upload additional documents' section, you will need to drag and drop or upload a PDF file of the fully signed contract so that it can be attached to the memorandum document when it's issued for signing
- Click Next, then click on 'Need to customise the contract for this stay?' on the next page, below the 'Generate contract' button
- Click 'Download prefilled contract' and click Confirm and download to open the document
- Remove the highlighted sections of the document and replace it with the signed date of the original agreement
- Save the document and re-upload this to the dashboard to issue for signing
